Obituary of Delora M. Young

Delora Young passed away peacefully on January 29, 2024 at the Avon Nursing Home.

Born the fifth child of William (Pete) and Francis Clausen Hayton on July 15, 1930 in Pittsford. Predeceased by husband George Young, siblings William, Virginia, Lavern, Carl, Clarabelle, Esther, Doug and Irving. Son-in-law Tom Brongo. Survived by daughters, Dorothy (Skip) Krieger, Donna Brongo. Grandchildren, Marc Krieger, Amy Brongo (Brian) and Larry Brongo. Great grandchild, Anthony Brongo. Many nieces and nephews.

She was a school bus driver for Honeoye Falls-Lima for 25 years. Delora was an avid bowler, country music lover and enjoyed time with her family playing dominos and putting jigsaw puzzles together.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Avon Nursing Home for the excellent care she received the last years of her life. Also, a special thank you to her roommate, Heidi for her companionship.

A service will be held Tuesday February 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at The Merton H. Kay's Funeral Home, Honeoye Falls. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lima.
